ONLINE TRAINING FAQ:
So you might be wondering what is virtual training and how exactly does it work. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions. Don't be scared or shy away from training with me online! It's simple and easy to set up and so much more convenient and effective than wasting time driving to and from the gym, waiting around for equipment, talking to people more than actually exercising and getting the hard work done.
1. What's the difference between Online Training and In Person Training?
Well the main one is that it's all done virtually via Facetime, Zoom or Skype. You no longer need to schedule in person training sessions as we go through your customized workout. It is up to you when you complete these daily workouts and when you fit them in your schedule. You don't have to deal with traffic or weather and you're in your own space. You don't need to share space or equipment with sweaty people full of germs. You don't need much or any equipment, just a few resistance bands and some dumbbells will be fine.
2. How many workouts do I do per week?
Most clients train with me 2-3 times a week for the first few months and then go to 1-2 a week as they become more familiar with training and learn proper form and execution of exercises. On days we do not meet, you I give you workouts to do on your own.
3. Where is the accountability aspect if it's online?
Your online workouts are scheduled just as they would be if you had to go to a gym. You still "show up" to your sessions just on an online platform. You can see me demonstrate exercises and proper form. I'm able to see you just as well or even better than in person and give you form cues and correction. I also am on top of frequently checking in with clients and making sure they are staying on track. Personally, I find the accountability is the exact same or even greater online vs. in person
4. How do I know if I'm doing it all correctly?
Always feel comfortable to ask questions but I'm an expert at fixing bad form! I am able to both demonstrate the exercises as well as give you feedback and proper form cues.
5. What if I'm traveling and don't have my usual equipment?
Let me research where you're staying and what gym amenities they have at your stay and I will create your workouts accordingly. No equipment at all? No problem, I can set up full body weight workouts that require zero equipment.
Have a question that I haven't answered? Please reach out and ask! Online training is an effective method at incorporating movement, strength, flexibility, mobility training part of your lifestyle. Yes, we are all busy...but only you take care of your mental and health. Reach your goals and keep up with activities you like to do while staying injury free!
