ABOUT ME:
Hello and welcome to the first step in reaching your fitness goals! My background is in Exercise Physiology and Psychology...with over 16 years of running my own small practice.
When I was in grade school, I always dreaded gym class. I was far from anything athletic...people actually run because they like it?! That seemed like a foreign concept. I knew that health and fitness were important and eventually found activities that I loved to do. Tennis, cycling, swimming, weight training, and running! In college I started competing in road races and triathlons and doing really well. I even taught step aerobics at one point!
Exercise science was my passion and college and grad school were dedicated to learning the science of human movement and how to get the body to perform and transform. I did my internship at the USA Triathlon National Training center in Clermont, FL as well as a residency in the cardiac rehabilitation program at the University of New Hampshire. I moved to Austin, TX to go to graduate school at University of Texas. While there, I got inspired to create my own business training clients. Improving the quality of life through exercise, diet, and movement was what I was born to do. Get stronger, faster, more agile...but most of all, stay pain free. Instead of sitting out of activities because you don't feel strong, fit, or flexible enough. Do all the things you love to do!
I work with each client on an individual basis in a private setting. The focus is on achieving long term results through uniquely challenging and consistently varied workouts. The key to improving fitness is not in simply doing the training, but is in understanding how one is responding and adapting to the training then modifying the program to meet individual requirements. Many of my clients have stayed with me since I first started. They are loyal and committed because they have transformed and changed physically as well as mentally. The satisfaction and results of clients are proof that my training works.
